Tirumala, 18 Mar. 16: The Trust Board meeting of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) was held under the chairmanship of Dr Ch Krishnamurthy in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Friday and given nod to some important resolutions. The excerpts of the meeting:
ENGINEERING WORKS:
Nod for tenders towards the construction of BT Road for second ghat road at Rs.2.8cr
Tenders approved to construct pilgrims chowltries in Devunikada at Rs.3.35cr and in Penchalakona at Rs.3.37cr
Reconstruction of Sri Padmavathi Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Peethapuram at Rs.2.55cr
MARKETING SANCTIONS:
Approval towards the procurement of 2.25 lakh kilos of Ghee at Rs.306 per kilo from Govind Milk and Milk Products, Phaltan, Maharastra at a cost of Rs.6.88cr for a period of three months
Two lakh kilos of dry grapes - Rs.3.7cr(for six months at Rs.185.40 per kilo)
9Lakhs kilos of Cow Ghee - Rs.25.65cr(for 3 months)
Corn grass as fodder to cattle in Dairy Farm at Rs.2.43cr for a period of a year
3.5 lakh kilos of BG Dal-Rs.4.53cr(for 6 months at Rs.129.60 per kilo)
15.3lakh kilos of Sona Masuri at Rs.5.89cr including 9.18lakh kilos by AP Rice Millers Association and 6.12lakhs by Telengana Rice Millers Assoiciation at a cost of Rs.38.50 per kilo for a period of three months.
TEMPLE WORKS
The board has given nod to introduce new arjitha sevas in sub-shrines of TTD including Astadala Pada Padmaradhana in Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy tempel at Appalayagunta and Sahasra Kalasabhishekam(on every Amavasya) in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Tirupati
The seer of Sri Bhandarker Mutt of Karnataka will henceforth receive the temple honours along with Palimar mutt seer.
A Committee has been constituted with board members Sri AV Ramana, Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, Dr Hariprasad, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CMO and Estates Officer to examine and decide the lease amount of the TTD land leased to Pushpagiri Netra institution located adjacent to TTD kalyana Mandapam in Vijayanagaram.
TTD set to take over Alagu Mallari Krishna swamy temple in Sullupeta.
The board has approved for Rs.5cr worth Saligrama Haram and five row kante as donation to lord On behalf of Telengana government. The board also thanked the Telengana govt. for the largesse.
HUMAN HAIR AUCTION
Through the e-Auction human hair in December 2015, TTD garnered Rs.25.25cr while in January 2016 Rs.3.37cr.
