ONTIMITTA: Following the instructions of Honourable Chief Minister of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is making elaborate arrangements for the annual brahmotsavams in recently taken over temple at Ontimitta in a grandeur way, said TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.
The TTD trust board chief inspected the ongoing arrangements at Ontimitta for annual Brahmotsavams and sitarama kalyanam in Ontimitta at YSR Kadapa district on Tuesday. After inspection, addressing media persons here in The temple premises he said, TTD has taken over the 14th Century Sri Kodandaramaswamy temple at Ontimitta and is committed to develop it on the lines of Bhadradri.
TTD Trust Board chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, said Lord Sri Rama is considered as the Yuga Purusha of Tretayuga and even today in this Kaliyuga His charisma is undeterred and is considered as 'Maryada Purushottama'. Lord Venkateswara, Lord Sri Rama, Lord Krishna, all are incarnations of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu in each aeon to protect the mankind. As the chief custodians of Hindu Sanatana Dharma we are committed to developing all the ancient temples and bring back their past glory," he asserted.
KALYANAM ON APRIL 20
Regarding annual Brahmotsavams from April 14-24, he said, this will be first annual mega religious temple after TTD has taken over this ancient architectural marvel. "The Vahana Sevas will be performed on the lines of Tirumala. And on April 20, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam will be performed in a big way in the sprawling 16acre ground present adjacent to the temple between 8pm and 10pm. HE the Honourable Governor Of AP Sri ESL Narasimhan, Honourable Chief Minister of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu and other prominent persons will be taking part in this celestial fete", he added.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR KALYANAM
* TTD will be providing five Lakh water packets and over a Lakh buttermilk packets to devotees who take part in kalyanam
* About 1000 security personnel which includes TTD vigilance, local police, private security and Srivari Sevakulu will be deployed for the occasion
* Mobile toilet facility is also been arranged in the premises.
* Floral and electrical illumination to stand as special attraction
* Two Lakh Akshata and Talambralu packets to be distributed among devotees
* Religious cultural events to muse devotees
Later the Chairman also visited the 108-feet mammoth statue of Saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya in the Tallapaka village and said the 513 Death Anniversary of the great human being will be observed for three days from April 4-7 at Tallapaka, Tirupati and Tirumala in a big way.
TTD senior officers including SE Sri Sudhakar Rao, DyEOs Sri Balaji, Smt Sharada, HDPP Secretary Sri Prayaga Ramakrishna and others were also present.
