There is a lot of buzz about the 100th film of Nata Simha Nandamuri Balakrishna. It is well aware that Krishnavamsi had approached him with a fantastic subject and Balakrishna almost okayed the project. However, Krish also met him with a historical subject. With 'Bahabuli' evoked a lot of response from the audiences, Bakakrishna too wanted to cash in on the interest of audiences for the historical/folk subjects and gave his nod to Krish and asked him to work on the script. The story of the film is based on a great king of Satavahana dynasty, 'Gauthami Putra Shatakarni'. After getting a green signal from Balakrishna, Krish had reportedly deployed a team of 20 research scholars to dig in the history deep of that time to prevent missing of a minute point. Balakrishna planned to make an official announcement about his 100th film at Amaravati and launch the shooting formally on Ugadi day. For that film, Balakrishna had already started growing beard and is also undergoing training in horse riding at Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club at Gandipet. Soon he will take up the screen test for the film. Another interesting point to note here is that Daggubati Rana, the macho man of Bahubali, is also likely to play a key role in the movie. Krish had sought appointment with Rana to narrate the story and his character in the movie. If sources are to be believed, Korrapati Sai of Varahi Chalana Chitra had come forward to produce the film in association with Krish's First Frame Entertainment. Yodhudu is the title under consideration for the movie.
