TS Hon’ble Minister for Industries visited Khadi Gamodyog Maha Vidyalaya

Hon'ble Minister for Industries Shri Jupally Krishna Rao garu today  07.04.2016  afternoon visited the Khadi Gamodyog Maha Vidyalaya at Rajendra Nagar,It is a departmental training institute of Khadi Industries Board. The Institute  organises awareness programmes  among the youth on KVI Training activities, It imparts training to Rural Youth in various income generation activities under self employments schemes, to convert non-artisans into artisans and artisans into entrepreneurs to increase the business capacities among the beneficiaries of KVIB .The institute gives training to the target group of unemployed youths, prospective entrepreneurs, Members of the Self Help Groups.

            The Minister interacted with the students who had come for training under the PMEGP scheme. He was informed that the 10 days training was informative and valuable, but there was problem with the field visit to different industries as there was no transportation available. Minister instructed that a vehicle may be procured so as to facilitate easy transportation for field visits to different industries as most of the candidates were women.

The minister enquired as to the extent of the land available and was informed that around 6 acres of land was in possession with a lease of 99 years. The Minister instructed them to put up a plan to construct more class rooms so that training can be imparted to at least 400-500  candidates . He also informed the Principal to prepare IEC material as well as pamphlets with the various schemes available and also the website addresses where the candidates can access information online. He informed the Principal to publicise the activities so that it can have a wider reach.

Recounting his days when he wanted to start a business how difficult it was,during those days, he said his left his job in the tahsildar office and started farming which was not successful, then he went into bank service and during that time he came across granite business and entered it there also he faced losses then he entered into construction where he became successful and went into politics, He advised the entrepreneurs not to lose hope and conviction. Never to get demoralised. He had great respect for entrepreneurs, He said the man who provided jobs were role models, than the men who took up government or private jobs.

He also informed about the new Industrial Policy TS-iPASS and asked the candidates to take full advantage of the government subsidies. He wished them to become role models and inspire many more to start their own businesses and not wait for jobs. He informed them about the T-PRIDE scheme as well.
