Ameya Pratap Singh's Youth Think Tank 'Young Bhartiya' launch


The launch announcement event of 'Young Bhartiya' Foundation, an initiative by Ameya Pratap Singh was held at K.C. College Auditorium today in Mumbai with several distinguished guests of repute in attendance who were humbly welcomed by Dr. Rajendra Pratap Singh and Mrs. Sheela Singh. The event started with a musical band performance by visually challenged artists followed by an enlightening session by Ameya Pratap Singh and Abhijeet Deshmukh (Member of the Core Team) highlighting the fundamental concept of the foundation and its interactive portal. 'Young Bhartiya' is a research think tank established with the sole purpose of providing a platform for the Indian youth with the opportunity to voice their opinions on the issues faced by contemporary India, conduct research on policy, acquire knowledge and to collate the latent student force into creating vital changes in society by initiating a petition. More than 500 students from top colleges turned up to absorb the revolutionary concept and were delighted to have found a concrete platform that promises a better today and the best tomorrow.

Present at this engaging do were esteemed dignitaries including IAS Atul Patne, IPS Quaiser Khalid, Lawyer Shrinivas Bobde, Billiard Champion Aditya Mehta, media personality Sanjay Singh and young celebrities like Rajeev Khandelwal, Neha Sharma and Avani Modi who touched upon their life experiences and issues faced by today's youngsters.

Said Ameya Pratap Singh, "The opportunity to participate in policy making so far deserts the fast growing population of Indian youth and we would like to bring this essential democratic weapon back to them, especially on issues that affect contemporary India. A completely student centric think tank, we plan on enhancing the lives of youth in the best way we can."

Popular actor Rajeev Khandelwal added, "Young Bhartiya is a portal to talk about issues that affect our youngsters and also have a chance to resolve them by starting a social movement or initiating a petition. Our future is dependent on today's youth that can shape thoughts, beliefs and perceptions and possibly translate into actions of us as humans in the way they would lead a way of life."

Said actress Neha Sharma, "It is to engage young minds, who are at the right curves of their growth, who are not only ready to absorb & accept the new concept started for them but they are also at a stage whereby they can embrace the concepts and make them as a part of their routine lives or could possibly grow into practicing those concepts."

Actress Avani Modi added, "During my college days, such a radical platform did not exist. Founder Ameya's idea is indeed appreciable and applaud-able and I urge more and more youngsters to come forward to utilise this base to its full potential."

Profile of AMEYA PRATAP SINGH, Founder of YOUNG BHARTIYA:

He is a Political Science graduate from St. Xaviers college, Mumbai who will soon be travelling to the London School of economics to pursue his masters in International relations. As founder of the Think Tank, The Young Bhartiya he essentially wants to create a platform for research and innovation that has been the driving force behind his own learning and intellectual acumen over the years. He has written research papers on varied subjects such as applying Kautilya's political treatise to 21st century India, John Lockers political philosophy, child labour, the international fund and the working of the BMC. One of his research papers on green power project that was submitted to the government of Maharashtra will be used as a guideline to set up a power plant.


He has also done various internships with the former Maharahstra chief ministers election campaign, under the leader of the opposition in the Maharshtra legislative assembly, as an executive assistant to the chairman at Shapoorji Pallonji and to the managing director at Jain Irrigation and as an intern at the Maharashtra state commission for the protection of child rights. He is currently interning with the office of the Honourable President of India Dr. Pranab Mukherjee. Along with all his academic endeavours he is also an avid sportsman and has played the nationals in Shooting and Water polo. For his long term he wishes to be a good human and a successful businessman, but rather than a monetary goal he wishes to revolutionise, similar to the mould of Elon Musk.


His dedication to society can be judged from his role as a trustee of the Yogayatan Jankalyan Trust which distributes educational material to 3000 slum children every year. With this current initiative he wishes to reform the education system and provide a platform for young minds to participate in analysis and research and be able to publish their work. He wishes to use this research not just for the personal benefits of the students but to create adequate social change in society. He wants to mitigate the soon to be largest student population within the largest democracy in the world to shape a better future for us all.
