Hon'ble Governor ESL Narasimhan planted Saplings at Rajbhawan

Hon'ble Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan and Lady Governor Smt. Vimala Narasimhan planted saplings on the precincts of the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. All the staff members of the Raj Bhavan participated in the programme taken up as part of the ongoing Haritha Haram to grow the city green.

Later speaking on the occasion,  Hon'ble Governor said that trees are the lifeline of mankind and everyone should cultivate the habit of planting saplings. The Governor felt that global warming is a citizens' issue and on any occasion he advised the citizens to gift a plant as memento to add trees to the nature.

Advisors to Hon'ble Governor Sri A.K. Mohanty, Sri APVN Sarma, Prl. Secretary to Governor Sri Harpreet Singh, Joint Secretary to Governor Sri P. Basanth Kumar and other officers, staff and the members of their families planted over 200 saplings like fruit bearing, ornamental, medicinal and others.
