Buffer Stock of Laddus During Brahmotsavams - EO

Tirumala, 30 August 2016: In order to ensure more efficient system in distribution of laddus to pilgrims, the TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao directed the officials concerned to streamline the entire system.

The administrative head of TTD has reviewed with senior officers of  various department in Tirumala over the ongoing development activities in the respective departments. He called upon the officials to complete all the pending works including civil, electrical, mass cleaning, Medicare etc.within time schedule before brahmotsavams.

Later speaking to media persons, he said all steps have been ensured to see that there is no shortage of laddus in Tirumala. "We have also instructed the temple wing to see that there is full stock of laddus. We have also given free hand to the officials concerned to get enough man power to see smooth run of distribution of laddus. Very soon we will be holding meeting with bankers too who operate laddu counters to improvise our services to pilgrims ", he added.

With an aim to provide laddus to multitude of visiting pilgrims without any inconvenience, during the ensuing annual brahmotsavams in October,
TTD will hold buffer stock of laddus every day during that occasion, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Later the EO said, an additional luggage centre to hold over 1000 luggage is coming up adjacent to the shoe counter of main Kalyanakatta soon. "Today PAC 4 is developed in such a way wherein both depositing of luggage and collection is being carried out without any discomfort", he observed.

He also said that the modifications in main kalyana katta will benefit devotees in a better way reducing waiting hours and providing tonsuring with more comfort.

The EO said, the development of greenery is going on a fast pace and for annual fete, Tirumala will blossom with beautiful orchids and flowers", he added.

Adding further he said, "the Tilakadharana to devotees by Srivari Sevakulu is garnering positive response from pilgrims and we will enhance the service and see that the devotees who go for darshan wear the traditional tilakam".
