TIRUMALA, 15 August 2016: The annual festival of Chatrasthapanotsavam at Narayanagiri Padalu has been performed with religious pomp and gaiety in Tirumala Monday.
According to temple legend, Lord Venkateswara first landed onthis Narayanagiri mountain before entering into Srivari temple, which is considered to be the highest point of Seven Hills of Tirumala. To mark this ceremonial occasion, Chatrasthapanotsavam has been performed where in a new traditional Umbrella was brought and special pujas were performed to Srivari Padalu.
TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, Temple DyEO Sri Rama Rao and others took part in this festival.
