Mahmood Ali, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue), Government of Telangana
called on Smt.Najma
Heptulla, Former Union minister who is now the Manipur Governor-designate at
her residence in New Delhi, today.
Congratulating
her on being appointed as the Governor of Manipur state, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister reminded her the
promises that were made while she was the Union minister for Minority Affairs,
with regard to providing 50% of the total budget needed for the Minority
Residential schools from Central funds and requested her to apprise the same to
her successor and current Minister for Minority Affairs, so that the Vision of
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana in eliminating
the backwardness, especially amongst the Muslim minority community through
education could be achieved.
He
also apprised about the status of the Telangana workers being sent back empty
handed from Saudi Arabia without proper settlement of their emoluments, which
range between 6 to 8 months of their payments by the respective employers.
Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister requested her to raise the issues with concerned
ministers and the Hon’ble Prime Minister for quicker resolution of the issues.
Smt.Najma Heptulla, responded
positively and promised to apprise the deliberations she had with the Deputy Chief Minister with
concerned Ministers and the Prime Minister.
