Tirupati, 2 August 2016: TTD Trust Board chairman Dr Ch Krishna murty laid the foundation stone to the Gopradakdhinasala at the foothill of Tirumala in Alipiri on Tuesday.
Later speaking to media he congratulated TTD Trust Board member Sri Sekhar Reddy for his largesse to bear the entire cost of the construction of the novel cow shed at Alipiri which is coming in an area of 4468sq.ft at a cost of Rs.67lakhs.
The chairman also recalled the association of Cow and Lord Venkateswara as stated in Venkatachala Mahatyam and said it is the responsibility of every Indian to protect Gomata. "As the new one is coming up at Alipiri the devotees trekking Alipiri footpath and others can have darshan of Gomata also", he added.
