Launching of Mobile App Services in addition to online services of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education promotes the vision of world class Education, quality leadership and better services to the students of Telangana State. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is providing 15 services to students and 7 services to colleges under its jurisdiction. Some of the popular student services are issue of Migration certificate, Equivalency certificate, Eligibility certificate, Duplicate Pass certificate and Duplicate Marks memo etc. Some of the services related to colleges are Affiliation, Renewal of affiliation, Change of College name, Conversion of college to Co-Education.

            Earlier, these services were provided to the students and College Managements manually which is a time consuming process.  To avoid hardships to the students and the managements and also to make the above services more effective and efficient, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has started providing online services to the stake holders of its jurisdiction since last year. These online services are available for the students who appeared Intermediate Education since 2004. So far 58422 students have availed themselves the above services satisfactorily. All these services are presently available in https://tsbie.cgg.gov.in  website.

            Now-a-days, smart phones have become the most popular and convenient gadget for online shopping, online payments and online banking and it is available in every house hold. To make it convenient to the students to apply from his/her mobile phone, as per guidance and instructions of the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has moved one step further from e-governance to Mobile Governance (m-Gov) by launching the Mobile App.  The app was launched  by Dr.A.Ashok, Secretary, TSBIE at 3.00 PM on 03-08-2016. The services currently available in mobile app for students are:

Ø  Duplicate Marks Memo

Ø  Duplicate/Triplicate Pass Certificate

Ø  Equivalency Certificate

Ø  Eligibility Certificate

Ø  Name Correction on Pass Certificate

Ø  Attendance Exemption

Ø  Re-verification of Valued Answer Scripts & Supply of Photo Copy

Ø  Re-counting of Marks

Ø  Application Status

The android smart phone users can download and install the TSBIE m-services app from play store. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is in Technical collaboration with the Centre for Good Governance and National Information Centre, Hyderabad. The above services are provided successfully to students with advanced technology like online submission of applications, online payment through payment gateway using credit card, debit card and net banking. The student can track his application status online and he can download his certificate which is digitally signed. This kind of online services help the rural Telangana students to save a lot of their time, effort and also money for travelling from their place to Hyderabad.

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is first of its kind among many Boards in the country providing this kind of online services to citizens of India.
