Tirumala, 15 August 2016: The Tirumala JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju today made an fervent appeal to the TTD staff and others to serve the devotees who throng Tirumala from all over the world for the holy darshan of Lord Venkateswara without any selfish motto.
After hoisting the tricolor flag at Tirumala as part of the Independence Day celebrations at the Gokulam guest house the JEO also received the guard of honor presented by the Vigilance staff.
Speaking on the occasion the JEO said the country had earned its independence as an outcome of sacrifice of lot many martyrs and it is a fitting tribute by remembersing them on this occasion.
He urged the TTD staff to not lag behind in their duties in view of the ever growing visitors to Tirumala for darshan of Lord every day. Describing the model Srivari Temple at Krishna Pushkaram as an major feat he said nearly 40,000 devotees were visiting there daily. Almost one lakh pilgrims were provided Anna Prasadams all over Pushkara ghats by the TTD every day.
Among others who participated in the event were TTD SE Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Chief Security Officer Sri Ravindra Reddy and Chief Vigilance Officer Smt Vimalakumari.
