Tirumala, 16 August 2016: TTD has decided to provide more green cover at all pilgrim concentrated locations in Tirumala including the Four Mada streets to reduce the heatwave hardships of the devotees.
Announcing the decision after a review meeting with senior officials at Annamaiah bhavan here the TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao said to give relief to the pilgrims sitting long hours on the galleries of the four mada streets, sprinklers will be installed and also green cover will be enhanced.
He directed officials to open a new counter for sale of copper, silver and gold dollars at the bank counters set up near the book stall opposite to the Srivari Temple. A special facility will also be developed near Kalyana katta and the Seeghra darshan queue complex for providing namam to all devotees with assistance by the srivari sevaks.
A lost and found centre will also be set up near at Tirumala for benefit of families with missing members and that the Divya darshan complex for walking pilgrims will be ready by September.
He directed officials to strengthen the Parakamani functioning with a special manual being scripted with support of the Indian Institution of Management. All coins will be specially cured and segregated at the Parakamani for fast and easy disposals. A trial run up will be conducted next month to introduce the new systems in Parakamani, he said.
Footwear racks would be set up near Kalyana katta and annaprasadam complex's. Special sign boards would be set up near all PAC-1 to PAC-4 about availability of anna prasadam at the Annaprasadam complex.
The Executive Officer instructed that the pilgrims should not put hardships in retrieving their luggages at luggage counters of PAC-4, GNC toll gates. A feed back survey conducted with support of the IIIT students of Tirupati should be reviewed on devotees satisfaction. He also wanted that CCTV's should be installed at Seva sadan and other prominent locations in Tirumala.
Among others TTD law officer Sri Venkataramana, Chief engineer Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, Addl FA and CAO Sri Balaji, SE-2 Sri Ramachandra Reddy, DyEO Sri Kodandarama Rao, Chief Security officer Sri Ravindra Reddy and others participated in the review meeting.
