• Medicinal health quotient of Milk, cow dung and cow urine hailed
• Rs.81 crore corpus with TTDs SV Gosamrakshana Trust
Tirupati, 25 August 2016: The TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao today said that the Sri Venkateswara Go Samrakshana Shala would soon be transformed into a national cow research centre.
Speaking after the Gokulashtami celebrations the TTD EO said Go Pooja was celebrated at all the 23 districts of AP and Telangana to mark the significance of cow in the religious and socio-economic history of the country.
He said there were 2636 animals in the Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Shala in which top breeds like Ongole, Punganur, Kapila govu, Haryana, Kangayam, Dhiyoni, Hallikar, Umbaladari, Sahiwal and Rathi were also present. 75 top breed cows have been shifted to the ultra modern gow shala being set up at Palamaner. TTD was committed to protect and preserve the holy cow and that the TTD's Gosamrakshana Trust had received Rs.81 crore donations so far.
Earlier the Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar said that the milk produced by top desi breeds of cows had significant anti-infection and anti-disease qualities and similarly the cow dung and cow urine has great medicinal qualities and were already utilised in manufacture of many desi medicines etc. The Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Shala had been rendering great strides in cow protection and awareness campaign. As per hindu culture worship and preservation of cows brought blessings of all deities in the universe.
Earlier the the TTD Chairman Dr Chadalawada Krishnamurthy, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar offered prayers to Sri Venugopalaswamy and also the Go Puja and aarti to Cows.
TTD EO also performed worshipping of the Sri SV Maha Mantra Peetham brought from Hyderabad to Tirupati by Sri P Sai Reddy, President of Sri SV Maha Mantra Peetham. As part of the Gokulasthami traditions the 14th edition of Seven crore Govinda nama japa books were presented at the Sri SV Maha Mantra Peetham. The TTD officials also launched the scripting of the 15th edition of the govinda nama books on the occassion.
As part of the celebrations of Gokulashtami, Annamayya Project organised the Nada swara concert, Annamayya sankeertanas and the Dasa sahitya project had organised the bhajans, kolatas etc. Students from various schools of Tirupati also organized cultural programs. The harikatha parayanams were also conducted by the HIndu dharma prachara parishad.
In the event presided over by Dr K Harinath Reddy, Director of the Sri SV Gosamrakshana shala and DLO Sri Venkataramana and others participated.
