Tirupati, 27 August 2016: The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is all set to celebrate a three day fete as a befitting tribute to the Harikatha Pitamaha Sri Ajjada Adibhatla Narayana Das on his 152nd Birth Anniversary from August 29 to 31.
On this occasion, special HARIKATHA programmes, book release functions, scholarly lectures have been planned by TTD which will take place at Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini and Mahati auditorium in Tirupati during these days.
In this connection, on August 29, there will be "Narthanasala" - Harikatha programme in Ramachandra Pushkarini between 6pm and 7:30pmwhile in Mahati on Sri Krishna Rayabaram and Bhakta Markandeya on August 30 and 31 respectively in the evening by renowned Harikatha artistes.
Apart from the above Harikatha Acts, there will be lectures by eminent scholars on some of the great works of Sri Narayanadasu including Dasavidha Raga Navathi Kusuma Manjari, Panchamukhi-Shanmukhi, Sanskrita Sahityam etc.
All these programmes will be organised under the aegis of TTD-run SV College of Music and Dance.
Meanwhile, as Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya is described as "Padakavitha Pitamaha", similarly Sri Ajjada Adibhatla Narayana Dasu is also revered as "Harikatha Pitamaha" for his versatility in Harikatha Parayanam.
Born in 1864 in Ajjada Village of Vijayanagaram, he was a multifaceted talent who had mastered in eight languages and also in poetry, music, linguistics, philosophy and dance apart from Harikatha.
