`Drishyam' of Jithu- Mohan Lal team ready for Christmas release
Jithu Joseph's `Drishyam' with Mohan Lal and Meena in the lead will be released during Christmas. It's Meena's second entry after her marriage in Malayalam. Mohan Lal has done the role of a farmer in this film. The story revolves around an incident that happens to his family and that creates an impact in their lives. Antony Perumbavoor has produced the film under the banner of Aashirvas Cinemas.

Actor Shamsu Mysore passes away
Theatre artiste, serial and film actor Vadiyil Thupettiveedu Maliyekkal Shamsudein 60 (Shamsu Mysore) died at Kozhikode on Monday. He entered the field through the drama `Thamasoma' during his school days. Then he acted in K.T. Mohammed's `Edhu Bhoomiyanu', `Achanum Bappayum', Cherukad's `Kaattu Krishi', Uroob's `Ummachu' and in several other dramas. Some of the films he acted are Ranjith's Paleri Manikkam, Spirit, Sathyan Anthikad's Katha Thudarunnu and also in some serials. He handled comedy roles in most of the films. He is survived by his wife Sahitha and two children Riyas and Aadil.

Prathap Pothen in new avatar in Fazil Mohammed's film
Prathap Pothen's second entry to Mollywood is giving him different roles. His role as Dr . Tharakan in Lal Jose film `Ayalum Njanum Thammil' to Aashiq Abu's `Idukki Gold' were different. Now he is playing the role of a seventy year old man Ouseppachan in Fazil Mohammed's `Once Upon a Time There was a Kallan'. The film is scripted by Kalavoor Ravi Kumar. Prathap Pothen's character is a miser and people call him Nidhi kakkunna bhootham. Ramesh Mehandi from Odissa is putting makeup for him. It takes two hours for him to make Pratahp Pothen to the character of the film. Ramesh is the makeup man of Kamal Hassan.

Jaya Soorya as visually challenged man in Hyderabad
Jaya Soorya, who is basking the success of `Punyalan Agarbathis' is coming up with his next film with Boban Samuel. In Boban's next untitled film Jaya Soorya's role is of a visually challenged person. For the perfection of his character he started practising the role of blind by walking through the streets of Hyderabad. First day he wore sun glass and walked through the streets. People felt him as a real bilnd man and helped him. Scenarist Arun Lal was there with him for his help. But next day while having his food in resturant as visually challenged person a Malayali family recognised him and asked Arun Lal if he is Jaya Soorya. But Jaya Sorya did not giveup .With out minding the family Jayasoorya had his food. Later they commented "It may not be Jayasoorya as God creates seven similar persons in the world".
Shoot of the film kick started in Kochi last week. Gundelpet and Bangalore are the other locations of the film. Jaya Soorya plays the role of a cricket palyer in this comedy entertainer. Aparna Gopinath is the female lead. Other cast includes Lal, Lalu Alex, Balu Varghese, Edavela Babu, Kalinga Sasi, Sunil Sugatha, Kochu Preman, Nandu Poduwal, Chemban Vinod Jose, John Vijay, Master Nithesh Boban, Seema G.Nair and Sreeja Aashab.
