Actor Ratheesh's wife passes away
The late actor Ratheesh's wife Diana died at a private hospital in Thiruvananhtpauram on Saturday after noon. She was 55. Diana was suffering from cancer for the past few years. She is daughter of the late former minister Hemachandran and Kamalamma. She is survived by four children Parvathy, Padmarajan, Padmavathi and Pranav. Her body was cremated at Santhikavadom on Saturday. Producer Suresh Kumar, wife Meneka, Surehs Gopi, Chippy, Shaji Kailas, Krishnachandran and many others from film field reached her house to pay homage.

Jagathy received 5.9 crore cheque from insurance company
Actor Jagathy Sree Kumar received the compensation cheque of Rs. 5.9 crore from CEO of Future Insurance Genarali India K.G. Krishna Moorthi Rao on Saturday in a function held at Jagathy's residence at Peyad. Jagathy came in a wheel chair in the drawing room and received the cheque and handed over it to his wife Sobha. The CEO said "it is indeed a great privilage for him to hand over the cheque to Jagathy so early that it takes at least five years to issue cheque for normal accident cases. Jagathy met an accident in 2012 March 10 at Malappuram Thenhipalam. Out of 5.9 crore Rs. 2.5 crore will be put as fixed account in Sree Kumar's for about five years.

Vinay Fort tied knot with Soumya
Actor Vinay Fort married his girl firend Soumya Ravi at Guruvayoor temple on Saturday. It was after three years of love they tied the knot. Soumya is daughter of Ravi S. Nambidi and Hemabika, who hails from Gruvayoor. Soumya is a nano technology student of M.G University. Both met at Amritha university, when Vinay reached there to do a drama. Vinay is ex-student of Pune film institute and was a theatre artist, which paved way to film industry. He made his entry through `Rithu' of Shyama Prasad. Vinay is son of M.V. Mani and Sujatha of Fort Kochi. There will be a grand reception for his friends at Mattancherry Town hall on 14 of this month.

Many star kids has made their entry to the film field so far. Dulquar, Devadevan, Kalidasan are some among them. Now the new star kid to join the line is actor Siddique's son Shaheen Siddique. Shaheen plays son to Mammootty's character in `Pathemari', directed by National award winning director Salim Ahmed. Shaheen is business man in real life. Saleem Ahmed offered him the role and was quite excited to accept it. His father has a very important role in `Pathemari'. But both father and son has no combination scenes. He will join the set for the second schedule which will be in Thrissur soon.
