Tirupati, 20 October 2016: With an aim to make Tirumala a "Zero Carbon Emission Zone", the temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) is mulling electrical buses soon, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.
The TTD administrative chief along with his Tirupati Deputy, Sri P Bhaskar took part in the Ayudha Puja held at Transport wing in Tirupation Thursday. Speaking on this occasion, the EO complimented all the drivers of TTD for their Zero Accident Record in Ghat Road driving with their experience and expertise. He also told them to sustain the same record in future too.
The EO also complimented the transport wing for operating Dharma Prachara Rathams in a successful manner taking up the publicity of TTD's dharmic activities in nook and corner of the country in a wide spread manner. "The services by the free buses during the recently held Srivari Brahmotsavams is commendable", the EO lauded.
Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, the battery cars are of great use to transport the aged and specially abled pilgrims in Tirumala. "Even the free buses are also offering wonderful services to pilgrims both at Tirumala as well as in Tirupati", he maintained.
Earlier special puja was held in the transport wing. All the vehicles were specially decorated with garlands and pandals for the occasion and puja was performed.
General Manager of Transport wing Sri Sesha Reddy, DLO Sri Venkataramana, Services wing DyEO Sri Vijaya Saradhi, AEO Sri Devendra Babu, DI Sri Ramesh, drivers and other staff members were also present.
