Tirumala, 21 November 2016: To provide a better and convenient darshan to the multitude of the visiting pilgrims, in yet another pilgrim initiative, TTD has recently set up three lines between Vendi Vakili and Bangaru Vakili in the angular point, which is yielding good results, said Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.
A review meeting over the developmental activities with respect to various departments of Tirumala was held by the Tirumala JEO in Annamaiah Bhavan on Monday with the respective heads. After the review meeting talking to media persons, the JEO said, many suggestions and requests have been poured in to resolve the problem near these two crucial points from pilgrims. After elaborate discussions, we have recently set up three lines in the angular point which is giving positive feed back from devout", he added.
The JEO said, to overcome the woes of currency crunch by pilgrims, PoS machines have been set up by all the banks in Tirumala. "Even at reception counters, VIP break darshan tickets counter we have kept the swiping machines for the sake of the pilgrims. We have also instructed the hotels which we have allotted through tender process to keep the PoS machines to avoid any sort of inconvenience to pilgrims", he maintained.
Later he said, road extension works are in offing near Srivari Padalu. To avoid speeding of vehicles, the toll plaza near Papa Vinasanam road has been instructed to record the vehicle tracking time.
The JEO said, as the influx of pilgrims are less at this point of time, the engineering wing is instructed to complete all the pending works.
DyEOs Sri Kodanda Rama Rao, Sri Harindranath, VGO Smt Vimala Kumari, Health Officer Dr Sermista, Garden Dy Director Sri Srinivasulu, Catering Officer Sri Sastry, EE i Sri Prasad and other officers were also present.
