TIRUPATI, JAN 15: Devotional fervour peaked in SV Gosala in Tirupati on Sunday when Gopuja was observed with aplomb on the festival day of Kanuma.
Ttd Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, Ttd EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, renowned spiritual scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao also took part in this fete and delivered their message on this auspicious occasion.
"Cow is an embodiment of our deities and our Vedic aspirations and it becomes our foremost responsibility to protect, promote, propagate and respect of Gomata", said, TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.
Later in his speech, TTD EO Dr Sambasiva Rao said, "Protection and promotion of indigenous breeds of cows is our primary motto. We have around 2700 desi breeds in Tirupati and Tirumala Gosalas. We are committed to take this as a movement by developing our sprawling 650 acre Gosala at Palamaner too", he maintained.
In his address, renowned scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao called upon the devotees to make it as a habit to pay visit to SV Gosala too after offering prayers to Goddess Padmavathi and Lord Venkateswara.
Meanwhile special Pujas were performed to the cattle in Gosala. The cultural programmes also mused the devotees.
Director of Gosala Dr K Harnath Reddy, Prof. Narayana Rao, AEO Smt Geeta and other staff, huge number of denizens were also present.
