Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao review on Integrated District Office Complexes

Chief Minister Sri Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed that in all the districts, Integrated District Office Complexes, District Police Offices should be constructed. He wanted designs for these office complexes should be finalised and tenders should be invited and the constructions should be done within a year.  He wanted these proposed Office complexes should have all the facilities for the people and officers. Since new office complexes have been built for the Sangareddy, Rangareddy and Nalgonda districts, there is no need for constructing new offices there.  He wanted new office complexes to come up in other 28 districts, for which funds will be allotted in this budget and they should be completed within a year, the CM said.

The Chief Minister has reviewed the progress of the Integrated Office Complexes in the district here on Thursday at Pragathi Bhavan.  Ministers Sri Jupally Krishna Rao, Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Mission Bhagiratha Vice Chairman Sri Prashanth Reddy, Principal Advisor to the Government Sri Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary Sri SP Singh, Senior Officials, Sri Rama krishna Rao, Sri Sunil Sharma, Ms Shanti Kumari, Ms Smita Sabharwal, Sri Ganapati Reddy, Sri Surendra Reddy, MLAs Sri Vittal Reddy, Sri Marri Janardhan Reddy, Sri Aruri Ramesh and others participated.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the re-organisation of the districts is done to decentralize the administration and offices should be better equipped for an effective administration to the people.  He said except the Police and Fire services offices, all other administrative offices should be housed at one place. The proposed Integrated Office complexes should be designed keeping in view the future necessities.  The CM has examined the designs made for the Integrated Office Complexes. He said the proposed office complexes should be able to hold meetings, festivals and other activities in the districts. Conference halls also should be provided for the Ministers and the CM to hold review meetings in the districts. The proposed Office Complexes should have cross ventilation; allow more room for light and air, there should be provision for walking tracks and parking.  Adequate provision should be made for Toilets, Lunch Room, Banks, ATM, Mee Seva centres, Record Room, Strong Room, Electricity sub Station, and Animal Traps and Conference hall to accommodate about 1000 people should be created. He wanted the proposed Integrated Office Complexes should come up in 20 to 25 acres of land in every district.  He wanted the complexes to be spacy and should be able to fulfill needs of future. He said certain district Collectors have already identified the land for the Complexes and wanted layouts and designs to be finalised as early as possible.  Along with the Integrated Office Complexes, the CM wanted District Police Offices along with the Parade Grounds.  He said information is that the District police Offices in Tamil are good and wanted a team of officers under the DGP should visit Tamil Nadu, study and submit proposals and designs.

Crime Meetings

When senior police officers wanted a Conference hall for the Crime meetings in the districts, the Chief Minister in his inimitable style joked, “How come the police are still using the crime language? Why do you call them crime meetings? It gives a negative sense, change the nomenclature. Change the names that have negative connotation.”

Mission Bhagiratha Works


The CM has instructed the Chief Secretary to expedite the works under Mission Bhagiratha Scheme. He said though the works under the Scheme are doing well in the rural areas there is a need to speed the works in Urban and City areas.  He wanted the CS to have review meetings on the progress of the works and see to it that they are speeded up.
