GEAR UP FOR ONE DAY BIG FETE RADHASAPTHAMI- TTD EO

Tirumala, 24 January 2017: The arrangements for Radhasapthami which will be occurring on February 3 this year should be on par with annual brahmotsavams and Vaikuntha Ekadasi, asserted TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

A review meeting on the preparation for Surya Jayanthi Festival took place in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Tuesday by TTD EO along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. The EO instructed the HoDs of various departments to gear up for the fete which will witness huge pilgrim turn out as it is considered as one day brahmotsavams. Some excerpts:

SVBC LIVE TELECAST

The SVBC channel besides telecasting all Vahana Sevas live will also lay special focus on the importance of the festival and also give special coverage on the Sun temples located across the country.

ANNAPRASADAM AND WATER 

The EO also instructed the Annaprasadam and Health wings to keep ready 1.5lakh butter milk packets and 6 lakh water sachets to supply to pilgrims in galleries of four mada streets. The services of Srivari Seva volunteers should be utilsed.

ADITYA HRIDAYAM BY BALAMANDIR STUDENTS

Like in previous year, Aditya Hridayam will be rendered by the students of SV Balamandiram during Surya Prabha Vahana seva.

VIGILANCE ARRANGEMENTS

The Vigilance wing along with Police should make elaborate security arrangements for the big fete and see that pilgrims are not put any sort of inconvenience.

MEDICAL SERVICES

The EO also instructed the Medical wing to keep ready ambulances, paramedical staff to attend to emergencies if any.

BUFFER STOCK OF LADDUS

The potu officials are instructed to keep buffer stock of laddus for the auspicious occasion.

NO PRIVILEGED DARSHAN

The TTD has also cancelled privileged darshan including parents with infants, physically challenged and aged for that day.
