Prime Minister Offers Prayers to Lord Venkateswara

Tirumala, 3 January 2017: The Hobourable Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi on Tuesday offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala.

He was accompanied by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union minister Sri Sujana Chowdary for darshan.

Earlier on his arrival at Sri Padmavathi Rest House he was accorded warm reception by TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurty, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju who welcomed him with flower bouquets.

TRADITIONAL DRESS: Following the temple tradition, wearing silk clothes (Pattu Pancha) the PM offered prayers in temple.

AT MAHADWARAM:  On his arrival at Mahadwaram the PM was accorded traditional welcome with Isthikapal by temple priests amidst the chanting of vedic mantras.
After on the PM offered prayers in the sanctum sanctorum in front of Lord Venakteswara. He was offered vedaseervachanam  by vedic pundits at Ranganayakula mandapam.

Later TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurty, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju offered seshavastram, teertha prasadams and presented lamination photo of Lord.

The honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi who dined along with  Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu at Sri Padmavathi Rest House in Tirumala complimented and thanked TTD for the tasty menu. "Khana Bhadiya Hai..Dhanyavaad"
