Sircilla sets record as the first (ODF) Open defection free district in the state of Telangana

Sircilla District to be the first ODF Open defection free district in the state of Telangana. Minister KT Rama Rao congratulated the People and the officials of the district from his Japan Tour,  Minister appreciated the collective efforts of people and officials who have made it successful . Minister also congratulated the Public representatives who educated the people and guided to participate in this program.

With the idea of making Sircilla, An Ideal District in the country, Minister KT Rama Rao began the task with full swing; He formed a Task Force with the officials of the district and higher officials of his ministry.

Construction of toilets begun on the war footing basis after Minister KT Rama Rao himself took the charge of visiting the villages across sircilla district with the other officials to meet and educate about the problems caused due to open defection. Minister KT Rama Rao took the charge of reviewing the process every week with the officials about the ODF awareness program.

After declaring Sircilla and Vemulavada as ODF Constituencies last year, remaining 22000 Toilets were built under the Swacch Bharat Mission after 2 new mandals were merged in newly formed sircilla district. KT Rama Rao specially congratulated the District Collector Krishna Bhaskar for the achievement and also asked to take to momentum forward in strengthen the health sector facilities in the district
