Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Sri ESL Narasimhan on Monday paid rich tributes to Sri Surjit Singh
Barnala, former Governor of united Andhra Pradesh, who passed away on
14-01-2017. At a programme held at the Raj Bhavan, His Excellency Sri
Narasimhan recalled his association with Sri Barnala. The Hon'ble Governor
lauded Sri Barnala's contribution in upholding the democratic principles and
values and said that Sri Barnala will always be remembered for his services as
Governor in the united Andhra Pradesh during 2003-04.
The Governor said that the nation has lost a great administrator and a wonderful human being. The Governor, along with his Advisers, the Principal Secretary, the officers of the Governor's Secretariat and other staff members of Raj Bhavan observed a two-minutes silence in memory of late Sri S.S. Barnala.
