Colourful Peta Utsavam at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple


















Tirupati, 11 Feb. 17: The traditional and colorful festival of Peta was celebrated at the Sri Kodandarama Temple with the procession of Utsava Idols of Kondaramaswamy along with Goddess Sita and Lakshmana in the Kupuchandra Peta village 8.5 kms away from Tirupati.

The snapana Thirumajaam was performed to the utsava idols brought to the village from Sri KRT early morning and Unjal seva in the evening, before they were brought back to Tirupati late in the night. 


The peta festval is performed annually on the Pournami day of Magha Masam to enhance the devotional and bhakti culture in and around temple town of Tirupati. The artisan of HDPP, Dasa sahitya and Annamacharya Projects performed devotional bhajans and cultural activities delighting the devotes at the colorful and flower decked procession from KRT to the Kupuchandra Peta village.
