Tirumala, 2 February 2017: Serving the pilgrims in galleries spread across the four mada streets is very crucial for Srivari Sevakulu, TTD staff, vigilance and police on Radhasapthami day, as pilgrims converge in all the galleries, said the top brass officials of TTD.
The Srivari Seva Radhasapthami service awareness meeting was held in the Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Thursday. The top brass officials hailing from three important departments including Annaprasadam, Health and Vigilance took part in this programme.
Addressing the sevakulu, the Chief Catering Officer of Annaprasadam wing Sri GLN Shastry, said that over 37 food courts have been arranged in galleries for the sake of the pilgrims. There will continuous supply of food packets to the pilgrims and it will be served by the Srivari sevakulu. Buttermilk packets, beverages, food menu will be distributed among the pilgrims from morning to evening at regular The service should be performed without causing any inconvenience to pilgrims", he added.
Later the health officer Dr Sermista said, along with the distribution of food packets, the sevakulu should give water sachets to the pilgrims. "Around six lakh water sachets have been made ready to be distributed among the pilgrims", she said.
On behalf of Vigilance department, the AVSO Temple Sri Kurma Rao said, the srivari sevakulu will be deployed at all vital points in the galleries and also at the gates. "Controlling the pilgrims without providing space to unwanted situations is more important. The sevakulu are also requested to be in their duty spots during Chakrasnanam which is the crucial part of the day to control the pilgrims", he maintained.
The Assistant PRO Ms P Neelima presided over the meeting. Earlier Satsang was conducted by Satya Sai Seva Organisation to over 2500 sevakulu who attended the meeting. Srivari Seva AEO Sri Gopal Rao, OSD Sri VLN Prasad, Sri Vara Prasad, Sri Phaniranga Sai and others were also present.
