HYDERBAD BASED DEVOTEE OFFERS "NILUVU DOPIDI"

Tirumala, 27 March 2017: A Hyderabad based aged couple offered Niluvu dopidi' to Lord Venkateswara on Monday.

They have met the TTD chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy and TTD EO Dr D 

Sambasiva Rao and informed about the Niluvu  Dopidi and said they does not 

want any privileges and Smt Tulasi offered Niluvu Dopidi.

Meanwhile Niluvu Dopidi is an age-old custom being observed in the temple 

wherein a  devotee would offer into the temple hundi whatever ornaments she 

or he had on their person at the time of the visit to the temple.
