Tirupati, 28 March 2017: On the fourth day of ongoing annual Brahmotsavams, Lord Sri Rama seated gracefully on the divine tree, Kalpavriksha vahana on Tuesday morning.
kalpataru, kalpadruma or kalpa pādapa, is a wish-fulfilling divine tree in Hindu mythology. It has the significance of fulfilling the wish of the people with prosperity.
Lord Sri Rama is an example of a pious human being with divine qualities. And in his "Rama Rajya" the citizens lived a problem free blissful life and revered him as their "Kalpataru" who fulfilled the wishes of denizens by providing a prosperous rule.
DyEO Smt Munilakshmi, EE Jagadeeswara Reddy, Temple Supdt Uma Maheswara Reddy, Temple Inspector Sesha Reddy and others took part.
