Beejavapanam Performed in Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple

Tirupati, 29 June 2017: Following annual Pushpayagam on Friday in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple, Beejavapanam, the seed sowing ceremony was observed with religious fervour.

Otherwise known as Ankurarpanam, the ritual was performed between 6pm and 9pm. As a part of this fete earlier Senadhipathi utsavam was conducted. Later the priests invited different deities including Brahma, Garuda, Sesha, Sudarsana, Vakratunda, Soma, Santa, Indra and worshipped them in Yagashala chanting the respective mantras.

Temple officials were also present. 

Meanwhile the Pushpayagam will take place between 1pm and 4pm on June 30.
