The CM has also felt that including granite, Irrigation and drinking water supply under the GST will have adverse affect and decided to bring this to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CM also expressed his dissatisfaction over some people approaching the National Green Tribunal on Sundilla Barrage issue despite the fact that the Supreme Court has refused to grant a stay on the issue.

“Construct Narlapur, Edula, Vattem, Karivena reservoirs which are part of Palamuru project with the highest maximum capacity levels. This will help to turn arid lands into fertile ones, put a stop to the migration of workers and help giving water to the farmers from Palamuru. Kalwakurthy, Nettampad, Bhima projects are being completed on a fast track. Farmers are very happy that water is provided to four and half Lakh acres this year. There is a bumper crop. Continue this trend. On-going projects should be completed cent percent by next year Kharif season and water should be supplied to the entire Ayacut.  Speed up work on Mallanna Sagar, Konda Pochamma reservoirs which are part of Kaleswaram project. It is possible to supply water through Mallanna Sagar to Nizamsagar and  give drinking water to Hyderabad from Mallanna Sagar. Supply water from Konda Pochamma to Palakurthy. From Mallanna Sagar supply water to Gandhamalla and Basvapur Reservoirs. Fill up tanks in Gajwel, Bhongir and Aler Constituencies from these reservoirs.

The CM has expressed his dissatisfaction over including subjects like Granites, Irrigation and Drinking Water supply under the GST. He said he would write a letter to the PM asking him to exempt these three from the GST.  “The SC refusal to grant stay on the construction of Sundilla Barrage is a slap on the face of those opposing any development,” the CM observed.

He said he thought the gang which is trying to stall the projects will change after the SC verdict. But the CM is unhappy that this gang is now approaching the National Green Tribunal on the same issue. However, the CM asserted that there is no question of going back on the projects let anyone try to put spokes. He said counter strategies should be in place against such attempts.
