84 students of Social and Tribal Welfare Students set to join medicine


Thanks to the TSWREIS for launching Operation Blue Crystal Programme (OPBC) for poor a student like me. I wouldn’t have realized my dream of becoming a doctor, if not for the OPBC, says  S. Prabhas who secured  635 state level rank.

84 students of social and tribal welfare residential societies created a record in NEET, 2017. Among the 84 students, 55 students of social and 9 tribal welfare students will secure seats in medicine and 15 social and 5 tribal students will get into BDS. It’s a glorious moment in the history of the TSWREIS and the TTWREIS and never did we get this kind of results before, says Secretary, Dr RS Praveen Kumar. Thanks to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his vision to provide quality education to the marginalized children under KG-PG education.

 ‘Operation Blue crystal Programme (OPBC)’ which was launched to provide free coaching for meritorious SC & ST and minority students who were aspiring to become doctors. The operation blue crystal programme was a resounding success and it produced 140 medical students since its launch in the year 2015, truly a remarkable achievement. The OPBC has become an unparalleled brand for medical entrance exams with absolutely no economic burden on poor students and parents, added Secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar.

For the first time in the history of the TSWREIS as many as 10 students joined the celebrated Delhi university this year and 6 students secured admission into Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
We have been creating an ecosystem of competitive spirit among the students by pulling out of a sense of inferiority complex through implementation of various innovative programmes at different levels so that poor students can hope to become technocrats, doctors, engineers, artists, world class mountaineers, entrepreneurs and athletes, Says Secretary


No state in India has taken such measures so far in giving major impetus to education of the marginalized children under the KG-PG education, the Secretary added. He thanked the chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Minister Scheduled Caste Development Jagadish Reddy, the Minister for Tribal Welfare A. Chandulal and Special Chief Secretary Ajay Mishra and Principal Secretary Mahesh Dutt Ekka for their support to the educational advancement of deprived children under the KG-PG education.
