Agriculture Department – Insurance Companies Meeting

A meeting was convened under the chairmanship of C. Partha Sarathi, IAS, APC & Secretary, Agriculture & Cooperation dept., and attended by Sri Jagan Mohan, Commissioner, Agriculture with insurance companies – Agriculture Insurance Company, Chola MS, National Insurance Company, United India Insurance Company along with officials of Agriculture Dept.

1.   Reviewed the status of coverage of farmers during Kharif 2017.

2.   Instructed to furnish the details of farmers covered (both loanee & non loanee), area insured & premium collected for Kharif 2017.

3.   As the Govt. has issued BRO requested the companies to compute the claims at the earliest for 2016-17.

4.   The cutoff date for Cotton is 31^st July for both loanee & non loanee.
