Hyderabad, July 2017: Hyundai R & D Center - a decade old and only such facility in the country - hosted a unique event, Hyundai Family Connect Program, on Saturday, at its premises near Hi-tech city. Hyundai inducted forty one fresh Mechanical & Electronics engineers, selected from campuses of Engineering colleges, like JNTUH, JNTUK, Andhra University, Premier engineering colleges like GVP, VNR, VJIT, CBIT etc., in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, at the program.
Hyundai R & D Center selected these candidates after conducting a grueling five rounds of screening process at 35 Engineering colleges involving 2500 students. These freshers are the cream from the available talent pool. They joined the 800 member strong & some of the finest brains, at the center. These new comers were made to experience the Hyundai's unique event "Family Connect Program." This program draws upon international best practices to which the freshers and their parents were invited.

We train and groom these engineers into some of the finest global engineers in automobile R&D. We lay lot of emphasis on work life balance, encourage employees to nurture and hone their extra circular talent and skills. The employees are involved in cultural and CSR initiatives. The qualities we look for in the aspirants are positive attitude and patience, in a R&D career these are critical, besides having good grasp of what they are doing, ability to learn fast, willing to take suggestions and a long term commitment, he added.
One of the newly inducted engineer Ms Raghavi from Nellore said, I am highly delighted that I could land a job in a MNC like Hyundai and that too in the R & D, which enables me to explore and innovate. Also happy that my parents are with me to experience this memorable moment. I saw women engineers working here and they are an inspiration for me to work hard and grow. Her father a professor at her college, Dr Nanda Kumar said, all mechanical engineers aspire for a career with automobile industry an landing a job with Hyundai is a dream come true for my daughter, it is all the more exciting because she will be working in the R&D, which opens the gates for a bright future.
Talent acquisition, Talent Development & innovative Strategic Initiatives are the hallmarks of Hyundai R&D successful voyage. Hyundai hired more than 41 highly competent engineers from various back grounds & across locations this year as part of its progressive talent acquisition policy. The Company initiated various activities to strengthen bonding amongst different functions of the organization, as part of the thrust on employees’ development & Engagement Activities.
