Lord Bless Devotees in Netra Darshanam

Vijayawada, 6 July 2017: On the third day of the daily ritual sequence, the denizens of Vijayawada were engrossed in spiritual fervor on Thursdaywhen they witnessed Lord Venkateswara in His unique "Netra Darshan" avatar and one of the most important sevas, "Tiruppavada Seva otherwise known as "Annakutotsavam".

As a part of the week-long fete of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, Tiruppavada Seva was performed on Thursday in the spacious PWD grounds. The famous Thirunaman Kaappu and Kasturi on the forehead of the main deity was reduced in size on this special day enabling the denizens to witness the "Netras" (divine eyes) of Lord.

The devotional air was suffused with a combination of fresh flowers and camphor. As the priests were chanting Srinivasa Gadyam that descend into a perfect rhythm on one hand and with the artists playing the traditional ‘Nadaswaram’ on other hand, blended with the rhythm of the vedic chant giving a soothing feel to the devotees who took part in the fete.

Tonnes of tamarind rice or Pulihora was poured on a specially made rectangular tub in front of the replica deity of Lord Venkateswara and Tiruppavada Seva performed with utmost devotion. The devotees enjoyed every bit of the ritual chanting Govinda Namas with ecstasy.
