Pavitrotsavams Commence in Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple

Tirupati, 5 July 2017: The three day pavitrotsavams commenced on a ceremonial note in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple on Wednesday.

The processional deities of Panchamurthies including Somaskandamurthi, Kamakshi Devi, Vighneswara Swamy, Valli Devasena Sametha Subrahmanya Swamy, Chandikeswara Swamy were rendered celestial snapana tirumanjanam with milk, curd, nectar, sandalpaste, turmeric, vibhuti and tender coconut water in Kalyana Mandapam.

As a part of pavitrotsavams on the first day evening Kalasapuja, homam, Pavitra Pratishta were performed. The grihasta devotees who took part in this fete paying Rs.500 were offered one laddu prasadam, uttariyam, blouse piece and on the last day they will be presented pavitramala.
