Tirumala, 7 July 2017: The monthly "Dial Your EO" program was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday. TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal attended to 29 calls of various pilgrim callers. Before taking calls EO briefed about the various important upcoming religious events in Tirumala and some major developmental activities taken by the temple management following the feedback from pilgrims. Some excerpts:
- The annual Srivari Brahmotsavams will be observed from September 23 to October 1 and all the arrangements for the mega religious fete will be completed before September 15.
- For the month of October 56,295 Srivari Arjitha Seva online quota tickets have been released today at 10am on our website.
- The premiere sevas includes 12,495 out of which 7780-Suprabhatam, 120 each Thomala and Archana, 1875 Visesha Puja, 300 Astadala Pada Padmaradhana and 2300 Nija Pada Darshanam will be released
- The devotees can register for these seva tickets for a week. Those who receive the arjitha seva should make the payment within three days failing which for such tickets the online dip will be conducted again and they will also be given three days’ time for payment.
- This month the second online dip will be conducted on July 17 by 12 noon and the second dip for the tickets which were left over in the month of September will also be taken
- The ordinary arjitha seva tickets remaining in the online quota is 43,800. This includes 10,500 Kalyanotsavam, 2,800 Unjal Seva, 11,180 Vasanthotsavam, 6,020 Arjitha Brahmotsavam and 13,300 Sahasradeepalankara Seva tickets.
- TTD has also introduced some incentives to the pilgrims for online advance bookings of accommodation from June 15 onwards. The pilgrims are being refunded 50% if they vacate the rooms before 12 hours and 25% if they vacate the rooms between 12 and 18 hours. The amount will be credited back to their original source of payments within seven working days.
- Till July 5, so far 773 devotees received 50% reimbursement and 1,419 were reimbursed 25%. For a total of 2,226 devotees, an amount of Rs.1,32,897 has been reimbursed so far.
- From July 3 onwards, if the pilgrims cancel their online booking of accommodation two days before, they are being given 100% reimbursement.
- The amendments in the queue line system brought near Vendi Vakili recently is also yielding fruitful results avoiding jostling among pilgrims.
- Theertham is now distributed to pilgrims in two lines
- Help Desks are being run with Srivari Seva volunteers in VQC I and II compartments which is also giving feedback from pilgrims. The free phone facility arranged in the compartments for the sake of pilgrims to inform their movement to their kin and kith
- From June 30 onwards, akin to Sarva Darshanam pilgrims, the access cards are also being issued to Divya Darshanam pilgrims
- This year unprecedented pilgrim crowd has been witnessed in Tirumala and the total pilgrims who had darshan in the month of June is 25.77 lakhs
- Over one crore laddus were distributed to pilgrims in both May and June
- Following the requests from physically challenged and aged pilgrims, on July 18 and 25, total 4000 darshan tokens will be issued in three slots including 1000 tokens at 10am, 1000 tokens at 2pm and another 1000 at 3pm.
- Similarly considering the requests of parents with infants, on July 19 and 26 parents with children below 5years of age will be allowed through supadham from 9am to 1:30pm. Henceforth for couple of days during every month this provision will be given to this category of pilgrims.
