Staff Quarters a boon to staff of Raj Bhavan: Governor Narasimhan



Hyderabad, July 30, 2017: Speaking at the 'Atmeeya Sammelanam' organised by the staff members of Raj Bhavan, Hon'ble Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan said that he pursued with Telangana CM Sri K. Chandra Shekar Rao and got budget allocated for construction of staff quarters for Raj Bhavan staff and CM KCR readily agreed and sanctioned the budget for the same in spite of constraints, as the old quarters became dilapidated and became unfit for use. He said that the staff quarters have been constructed in a record time of 11 months well before the scheduled completion date. He complimented the staff members for their support at the time of demolition of old quarters and staying outside for the interim period. Governor Narasimhan said that the Raj Bhavan Staff quarters have been named as 'Samruddhi' so that the staff members and their families live in peace and prosperity. He said that along with staff quarters, a model school has also been constructed with digital class rooms, which is a first in the city and there is a huge demand for admission to the Raj Bhavan Govt school. 
     
Lady Governor Smt. Vimala Narasimhan, speaking on the occasion, said that they lived in a small accommodation in Delhi for a long time and that it was planned to construct two bed room flats for all staff members of Raj Bhavan, so that they live happily and peacefully with their families. She said that all staff and their family members should ensure that the entire Raj Bhavan Quarters premises is kept in clean condition at all times the same way they keep their residential premises. 

Sri Harpreet Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor, speaking on the occasion said that the staff members of Raj Bhavan should not aspire for jobs in Raj Bhavan for their children but ensure that their children go for higher studies and get much higher jobs. Children of staff members presented cultural programmes and enthralled the audience. Governor presented mementos to the participants in cultural programmes. Sri Arjun Rao, Joint Secretary, Sri M. Krishna, Deputy Secretary, Sri Vidya Sagar, Liaison Officer, also participated in the programme.
