Vasantotsavam Gives Soothing Feel to Denizens

Vijayawada, 8 July 2017: On the fifth day on Saturday, the denizens of Vijayawada experienced a soothing relief in PWD grounds when they witnessed the special Abhishekam of deities with aromatic ingredients.

The entire premises was caught in the finesse of the fragrance that has emanated from the divine material used for Snapana Tirumanjanam.

The deities of Srivaru flanked by Sri Devi and Bhu Devi on his either sides, seated on a special platform, rendered special abhishekam with milk, coconut water, honey, curd, sandal paste and turmeric while the priests were chanting Sri, Bu and Purusha Suktams rhythmically. 

The ritual provided a feast to the eyes of devotees who thronged the PWD grounds as a part of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams.

Finally the archakas rendered Nakshatra Harati and Kumbha Harato to deities.

PUSHPAYAGAM ON SUNDAY

The weeklong Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams will conclude with Pushpayagam on Sunday in PWD Grounds of Vijayawada. 

The deities will be given floral tribute with tonnes of varieties of flowers as a part of this ritual. This religious event takes place between 9am and 10am on July 9.
