Tirupati, 31 July 2017: The scholars during the 200th Death Anniversary of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba univocally advocated that the works penned by the great saint poetess possessed volumes of energy and aimed at empowering and enlightening the society.
The special literary fete took place in the Annamacharya Kalamandiram at Tirupati on Monday. Speaking on this occasion Tarigonda Vengamamba Project Co-ordinator Dr KJ Krishnamurthy penned 18 works including Venkatachala Mahatyam, Krishna Manjari, Yakshaganam etc.
SK Varsity former VC Smt Kusuma Kumari said, the writings of Vengamamba reflects the societal issues in a different way.
Dr Madhujyothi, Dr Bhagyarekha, Dr N Chamundeswara Rao also spoke on this occasion.
