Floral Tributes Paid to Saint Poetess

Tirumala, 1 August 2017: On the occasion of 200th Death Anniversary of saint poetess Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba, floral tributes have been paid to her life size statue at MR Palle circle in Tirupati on Tuesday.

Dr KJ Krishna Murthy, the Vengamamba Project co-ordinator offered pushpanjali and remembered the great literary works penned by the saint poetess. He also said she has pioneered Annaprasadam in Tirumala.

Later in the evening special devotional programmes have been organised at Annamacharya Kalamandiram where the artistes have presented some of the great songs written by Vengamamba.
