Pedestrian Piligrims are Elated Over Slot - Wise Darshan - JEo



Tirumala, 1 August 2017: The pilgrims reaching Tirumala and having darshan of Lord Venkateswara by trekking Alipiri and Srivari Mettu Foot path routes are expressing immense pleasure over the recently introduced slot-wise darshan, asserted TTD Tirumala JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju.

After the review meeting with Engineering, Health, Radio and Broadcasting departments in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Tuesday, speaking to media persons, the JEO said, "We have been providing the footpath pilgrims, a comfortable darshan with specific time slot within two and a half hours as assured by us. We have erected the flex boards both at Alipiri and Srivari Mettu with necessary information for the sake of pilgrims. Additional help desks will be placed at Alipiri and Galigopuram and also at Srivari Mettu starting point and at 1200th step. We will also utilise the services of Srivari Sevakulu at the required points. Continuous announcements are being made by Radio and Broadcasting department. The toilets in both the trek paths will be maintained properly by both health and engineering wings", he added.

NO ANNAPRASADAM ON GRAHANAM DAY

In connection with Chandra Grahanam, on August 7, annaprasadam will not be served in the massive Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex (MTVAC) from 4:30pm on wards. The free food service will commence on August 8by usual time at 9am. "In view of lunar eclipse we are closing the temple doors of Tirumala by 4:30pm and will reopen on August 8 after 2am. Then follows sudhi, punyhavachanam etc. and the sarva darshan for pilgrims commences only after 7am", the JEO informed. 

The JEO later inspected the Narayanagiri Gardens and interacted with the pedestrian pilgrims. He informed them to make use of the slot-wise darshan by reporting at the specified time on the token to avoid long waiting hours. The JEO also received feed back from the pilgrims.
