TELANGANA STATE POLICE HOUSING CORPORATION LTD. ON THE PATH OF PROGRESS



The Telangana State Police Housing Corporation (TSPHCL) is marching towards progress to realize the concept of GOLDEN TELANGANA conceived by Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao garu, Hon’ble Chief Minister.
The Telangana State Police Housing Corporation was bifurcated from the Andhra Pradesh State Police Housing Corporation and came into existence as a separate entity with effect from 11.08.2015 and succeeded in getting recognition in the construction field. This Corporation is established with the main objective of constructing buildings for Police Stations, Commissionerates and Barracks of Police, Prisons, Fire and Disaster Management Departments. However, the Corporation also undertook construction of the buildings of other Government Departments such as Technical Education, Forest, Prohibition & Excise, State Warehousing Corporation, PVNR Veterinary University which were lauded as the best in quality. The turnover of the Corporation prior to division during the financial year 2013-14 is Rs.285.65 Crores.
It is notable that while keeping its uniqueness in the field of construction, the Corporation is also maintaining utmost discipline in financial management with perfect audit system and commitment and sincerity.
The Corporation has so far taken up construction works pertaining to Police Academy, Central Prisons, 14 Police Battalion Complexes each in 100 acres and OCTOPUS Training Centers in 600 acres.
With the financial assistance from the Central Government, it has also taken up construction of 30,000 Police Residential Quarters, Buildings of DGP, Intelligence, CBCID, ACB, DG-Prisons, CRPF and Center for Good Governance which were lauded as the excellent in the field of construction.
The following works are on-hand of the TSPHCL for the financial year 2017-18.
1.     The Government sanctioned an amount of Rs. 93.07 Crores for construction of Police Station Buildings & Quarters at 116 places in the state out of which an amount of Rs. 43.00 Crores is allocated in the Budget of this year. With this amount, the Corporation has taken up 74 works and the remaining 42 works with an expenditure of Rs. 60.65 Crores are under the stage of tenders.

2.     The Government sanctioned Rs. 375.00 Crores for construction of buildings of 13 District Police Offices and 2 Commissionerates for which the works are under the stage of calling for tenders.

3.     The Government accorded Administrative Sanction for Rs. 20.00 Crores and allocated Rs. 10.00 Crores for this financial year for construction of three RI Battalions in various Districts and these works are in progress.

4.     The Government sanctioned an amount of Rs. 6.68 Crores for providing chain link fencing for Swimming Pools, Barracks and Training Blocks of Greyhounds out of which 19 have been completed and remaining 10 works are in progress.

5.     A total number of 31 works have been taken up pertaining to the Prisons during this financial year with an amount of Rs. 4.44 Crores sanctioned by the Government and the work is in progress.

6.     The Government sanctioned an amount of Rs. 23.15 Crores for the Fire Services and 137 works have been taken up by the Corporation out of which 22 works are completed with a cost of Rs. 2.58 Crores and the remaining 115 works worth Rs. 19.00 Crores are in progress.

7.     The Corporation has also taken up various works other than PSBs, Quarters etc., during the year. They are - Front Office works of Rs. 30.00 Crores and PTCs, DTCs/CTs, upgradation of Training Colleges worth Rs.46.98 Crores, Telangana Police Academy works worth Rs. 20.00 Crores and Warangal Commissionerate works worth Rs. 30.00 Crores which are in active progress.

8.     The Prohibition & Excise Department sanctioned an amount of Rs.358.25 Crores for construction of 9 Excise Station buildings out of which 8 works are in progress and for one work, site is to be identified.
The Corporation prepared plans to achieve a turn-over of Rs.300.00 Crores during this financial year as a target and marching towards progress.
