Lord Swings on Gaja Vahana Seva

Tirumala, 28 September 2017: On the sixth day evening, the Lord Malayappa Swamy took celestial ride on the mighty Gaja Vahanam on Thursday.

Gaja-the Elephant king is symbol for its loftiness, royalty, pride and intelligence. According to Puranas, Gaja is a symbol of richness and is a sibling of Goddess Lakshmi, who is also the goddess of prosperity. It has been a tradition which is continuing even today where the Maharajas, temples showcase their richness with the elephant procession.

By taking a pleasure ride on Gaja Vahanam, Lord showcases His royalty and majesty.
