The festival of light, Deepawali brought all Guar
Banjaras of United Kingdome together in London. Nearly 30 members from 13
families got together at O2 Arena, Greenwhich London for the celebrations.
Tejavath Ramachandru IAS (Special Representative of Telangana) and his wife participated as Guest and greeted the members and the community with health, happiness and good prospects. On this auspicious occasion the members of the community exchanged pleasantries and wished each other good wishes for health, wealth and better prospects.
Deepawali being the festival of success over failure
and light over darkness offered a platform for all the Banjara professionals to
come together and share their views on various subject matters especially
technology revolution, self development, community development and social
responsibilities.
As part of payback to the society, all the members
agreed to spare couple of hours of their time during their India visit to meet
youth and children of their respective areas to motivate them for higher
achievements including studying and working abroad. All have agreed to mentor
youth back home.
The group had four lady professionals who could motivate
girls to cross shores for better opportunities.
As
frequent meetings is the mantra for better bonding and achieving unity, all
have agreed to meet at frequent intervals.
The unity of UK Banjaras is expected to set example
for the others in India and elsewhere to emulate.
