Tirumala, 21 October 2017: Owing to unexpected pilgrim crowd in Tirumala on Saturday, In-charge EO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju inspected the queue lines extended in Narayanagiri Gardens along with senior officers.
Later speaking to media persons he said, there was a heavy surge in week end pilgrim rush. "This was an unexpected rush. The pilgrims thronged to the temple temple even after the completion of the auspicious Tamil Peratasi month which was over by last week. I urge the pilgrims to co-operate with the TTD and police and have a hassle free darshan of Lord Venkateswara", he added.
He later directed the health, annaprasadam wings to make sufficient arrangements of food and water to pilgrims waiting in queue lines and compartments. Later he monitored the movement of queue lines in Vaikuntham and temple.
DyEO Annaprasadam Sri Venugopal, Temple Sri Kodanda Rama Rao, Catering Officer Sri Shastry, Health Inspector Sri Krishnaiah and others were also present.
PROF.KS RAO INSPECTS GHAT ROADS
With the incidence of boulders which fell in both the ghat roads due to rains about 10 days ago, Prof.KS Rao, from IIT New Delhi paved a visit to hill town and inspected both the ghat roads on Saturday.
The In-charge EO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju said, the IIT expert will soon give a report on the scientific methods to over come the problem of boulders in the ghat roads.
SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, EEs Sri Sivaram Prasad, Sri Prasad, DyEE Sri Surendra Reddy and others were also present.
