Aannabhishekam Performed to Kapileswara Swamy With Heaps of Rice

Tirupati, 3 November 2017:It's been a visual treat to watch the "Annabhisheka Mahotsavam" performed to Sri Kapileswara Swamy in Tirupati on Friday in connection with the auspicious Karthika Pournami.

About 280 kilos of coocked rice has been used to offer celestial bath to the presiding deity amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras as per tenets of Saivagama.

This event took place between 12 noon to 2:30pm. The devotees were allowed for darshan between 4pm and 6pm. As this celestial event takes place once in a year, pilgrims thronged to witness the special Seva of Lord.
