Beejavapanam Performed for Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple Brahmotavams

Tiruchanur, 14 November 2017: The tradition "Seed Sowing" festival Ankurarpanam was performed with religious fervour in the famous shrine of Goddess Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor on Tuesday evening amidst the chanting of vedic hymns by the priests as per the tenets of Pancharatra Agama.

The celestial soil, seeds were collected from Friday Gardens and sowed in different mud pots and the deities were invoked seeking their divine blessings for the successful growth of the seeds which implies the grandeur of the religious event.

Punyahavachanam, Rakshabandhanam, Senadhipathi Utsavam were performed before the rituals began in a religious manner in the Yaga Shala.

Ankurarpanam is observed as a prelude to the nine day annual karthika brahmotsavams which commences from Wednesday in Dhanurlagnam with Dhwajarohanam between 9am and 10:30am.

TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar, CVSO Sri Ake Ravikrishna, Temple Spl.Gr.Dy.E.O. Sri P Munirathnam Reddy, AVSO Sri Parthasarathy Reddy and other temple staffs were also present.
