Floral Bath Rendered to Goddess Padmavathi













Tiruchanur, 24 November 2017: The annual Pushpayaga Mahotsavam was observed with religious fervour in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor on Friday evening.
The processional deity of Goddess Padmavathi Devi was made to sit on a special platform and tonnes of different varieties of flowers were showered on Her chanting vedic hymns by the temple priests. This celestial event took place between 5pm to 7pm in Sri Krishna Mukha Mandapam.
Earlier 100 garden staffs, 100 Srivari Sevakulu carried the flowers in baskets in a colourful procession to the temple from Asthana Mandapam. 
Speaking on this occasion, TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal said, this fete is usually observed as a festival seeking pardon for the mistakes committed by the archakas, temple staff, pilgrims either knowingly or unknowingly during annual brahmotsavams. 
Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, former EOs Sri LV Subramanyam, Sri MG Gopal, CVSO Sri A Ravikrishna, Spl.Gr DyEO Sri Munirathnam Reddy and others were also present.
