The Gaudium School Celebrates 3rd Annual-Sports Day

Parents should not impose their own unfulfilled desires on their kids : Shri Janardhan Reddy

Hyderabad, 6th January 2018: Talent, creativity and charm was perfected into a wonderful blend of a show through hard work and enthusiasm, by the Gaudium school at the GHMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium, Gachibowli,  as the school celebrated its third annual day (sports) to mark the successful completion of three years. The event which was witnessed by an audience of roughly 4000, was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Shri Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC. The director, Mrs Kirti Reddy greeted and welcomed gathering to the event. The chairman, Mr Nityanand Reddy; Mrs Suneela Rani (W/o of Mr Ramprasad Reddy); Mrs Sulochana, (W/o Mr Janardhan Reddy); Mr CS Reddy, CEO, APMAS; the bursar, Mr Sudhakar Reddy Ms Hema Surapaneni, Principal, The Gaudium School; were also present.

Shri Janardhan Reddy speaking on the occasion said, we too like the kids have ranks for swatch Bharat awards, this year too we will face the exam. To ensure we rank at the top we are sensitising everyone to maintain the city clean. The Gaudium school is giving all round opportunities to students, encouraging and instilling the necessary confidence for them to excel in the sphere they are good at, I congratulate the School for this. I always took special interest to go to schools and interact with the children, where ever I worked. From these interactions I found that there was great mismatch between what the students wanted to do and what their parents desired them to do. The parents should not impose their own unfulfilled desires on their kids, rather they should let them evolve and flourish in their chosen streams. That way the kids will display full potential in their chosen area. I go to schools to give inspiration to children, but at the same time gain tremendous inspiration from them too, he added.

Principal Ms Hema Surapaneni said, our motto is to make learning joyful, we ensure that the kids get all-round exposure and the best of both the worlds, the national and the international values. During the year we organised over 200 events, both academic and sports, where they experience the fun side of learning and the sporting spirit. She presented a report of the year’s events and achievements, covering academics, inter-school competitions, field trips, guest lectures, and sports among various others.

The event was declared open by the guests by releasing balloons following which there was a lighting of the torch which was then taken over by students as they relayed with the torch. The students honoured the guests with a slow march.

This was followed by various events which included races and displays. While the athletic spirit shone bright as the children participated in various races, their enthusiasm, strength, determination and discipline was showcased through the various displays which included the Sunflower Dance, Chinese fan Drill, Pom-Pom Dance, Butterfly Dance, Gymnastics, Taekwondo and LED display. The event concluded with a celebration of the winners and appreciation of all the participants.
